Hi @talawan,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd like to help!

Print the wireless test report and share the results. To print the test page, follow the steps below:

  • On the printer control panel, touch (Wireless), and then touch Settings
  • Touch Print Wireless Test Report.

Refer to the User Guide(pages 129-135) for troubleshooting steps related to wireless issues.

You can also use the HP Wireless Direct option to connect the printer to your computer. Refer to User Guide(pages 234-236) for help.

Also, use this document HP Wireless Printers - Printing with HP Wireless Direct as a reference.

Keep me posted for further assistance.

I attach a shot of the test results. What I don't understand is that it lists under 'Current Configuration' the correct network name, but when I ask the printer to list available Wifi it does not appear.HP test resultHP test result

Hi @talawan,

Let's try a few steps here and see if that works.

While the printer is turned on if you press the 4 x back button ( low left on the touchpad) does a hidden support menu appear?

There should be a reset submenu in the support menu.

If this does not help, then the printer needs to be checked.

Keep me posted for further assistance.

I do not understand about the 4x button; this does not appear. I got time and date reset, which I did - and then got 'wireless connected' icon. I then tried to print, and got a message on my laptop; 'printer in error state'. I then restored factory defauilt. I then tried to get a list of available wifi, but again mine did not appear. I put it in manually including the password, to be told the password was invalid as it did not have the correct number of letters.

Hi @talawan,

We are sorry that the issue is not resolved when the above troubleshooting steps were performed.

This might require one on one interaction to fix the issue
