Common problems for Connectivity Issues
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.

Officejet Pro 8610
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

This printer has worked will with a number of jetpacks, mifi's and routers.  Today Sprint sent me a new MIFI.  It is the M2000 by Inseego.  Apparently it has the latest wifi system and is also a 5G unit, if service is available.  I have been unable to link the printer to the network.  I have triple checked the PW, and it is correct.  The unit just returns an error saying it couldn't connect.  Printing out the Network Test Results it says MAC address filtering may be preventing hookup.  Looking into the MIFI, MAC filtering is most definitely turned off.  I have several other computers hooked up without any issue.  The printer sees the network, it just won't connect.  Any ideas?  I would like to add that I can connect with my  Verizon Jetpack, it just won't work with the Sprint MIFI.  I have tried the solutions noted in other posts, including turning off IVR6 and disabling the 5 GHz band.  Still won't connect

Well, it seems my 8610 won't work with the latest wifi encryption.  I stepped back to the older one and it hooked right up.  I am hoping there is some firmware update that will allow my printer to use the latest technology.

Turns out my 8610 can't use the latest wifi encryption.  I hope HP has a firmware update to allow my printer to use the latest technology.

My printer no longer prints from any device. I can print test pages from the printer itself but that is it.  You mentioned that you stepped back to the older wifi encryption. How did you do that?

The encryption type is in the admin pages of my MIFI, which is an M2000.  The default is WPA3 and I went back to WPA2 (or something like that.)  Unfortunately, my new laptop didn't like that change so I will have to wait for HP to help out.
