Office jet pro 8610

Hello

my office jet pro worked fine until now. Went to print and nothing. It says I don’t have internet connection but ran a diagnostic and it says I am.
the message on the printer says:

the printer could not connect to the internet.
if your network does not use a proxy server, try turning printer off and on. If you use a proxy server, touch set proxy then try again. If this doesn’t work contact ISP
I’ve tried turning off and on and ran a printer diagnostic and nothing. MY diagnostic said I was connected and the printer is maybe two feet from the router. My internet is working fine.
In the beginning it says it’s checking the registration status and then I get the above message.
can anyone take me by the hand and help me print again

@Metro1953, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

I understand you are not able to print wirelessly. Let us try these steps:

Restart the router, the printer, and the PC

On the printer screen, go to Setup > Network Setup > Restore network settings

Go back to Network > Wireless > Wireless setup wizard and select your network.

  • Make sure the printer and the PC are connected to the same wireless network. Either 2.4 or 5GHz network.
  • If you have a Dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both networks.

Try printing.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
