Hi @Bellfield

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I understand how frustrating it feels when the printer suddenly shows offline and even the HP App cannot detect it, especially after you’ve already tried reconnecting. Thank you for the effort you’ve put in so far—that persistence is appreciated.

Let’s go through a structured set of steps to clear the error and bring the printer back online:

Step 1: Power Reset

  1. Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord from the rear.
  2. Unplug the cord from the wall outlet.
  3. Wait at least 60 seconds.
  4. Plug the cord back into the wall outlet and reconnect to the printer.
  5. Turn the printer back on.

Step 2: Network Reset on the Printer

  1. On the printer’s control panel, press and hold the Wireless button until the light blinks.
  2. This restores the wireless settings to default.
  3. The printer should now be ready to reconnect to Wi‑Fi.

Step 3: Reconnect Using the HP App

  1. On your Windows 10/11 PC or iOS device, open the HP App.
  2. Select “Add Printer.”
  3. Follow the guided steps to connect the printer to your Wi‑Fi network.
  4. Ensure the computer and printer are on the same network.

Step 4: Clear Print Queue

  1. On Windows, open Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.
  2. Select your printer and open the queue.
  3. Cancel any pending or stuck jobs.
  4. Try printing a simple test page.

Step 5: Update Drivers and Firmware

  1. Visit the HP support page for your printer model: Update the firmware on an HP printer | HP® Support
  2. Download and install the latest drivers for Windows.
  3. Update the printer firmware if available.
  4. Restart both printer and computer after installation.

Step 6: Test Connectivity

  1. Print a Wireless Network Test Report from the printer’s control panel.
  2. Confirm the printer shows “Connected” to your Wi‑Fi.
  3. Try printing a one‑page document from Word or Notepad.

By refreshing the power, resetting the wireless settings, and reinstalling the drivers through the HP App, the offline error and code 0x80043c02 should clear, allowing the printer to reconnect smoothly.
