Hi @KLYTOONS,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To print to your HP printer using its IP address, you need to make sure it is properly configured on your network and that your computer can communicate with it. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you set this up:

Find the Printer's IP Address:

  • On the printer, navigate to the network settings or printer settings menu.
  • Look for an option that displays the IP address. This might be under sections like "Wi-Fi Status," "Network Configuration," or similar.

Verify the Printer's Connectivity:

  • Ensure the printer is connected to your home network. If you're unsure, you may need to refer to your printer’s manual for specific instructions on connecting it to your Wi-Fi network.

Add Printer to Your Computer:

  • Windows:
    • Open "Control Panel" > "Devices and Printers" > "Add a printer".
    • Choose “The printer that I want isn't listed”.
    • Select “Add a printer using a TCP/IP address or hostname”, then click Next.
    • Enter the printer’s IP address and follow the prompts to install the printer.
  • Mac:
    • Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
    • Click the "+" button to add a printer.
    • Select "IP" on the toolbar, set "Protocol" to "HP Jetdirect - Socket".
    • Enter the IP address of your printer and the system will attempt to gather the printer’s information.

Install Printer Drivers:

  • Ensure that the correct drivers are installed on your computer. If your system doesn’t automatically find a driver, you can download it from the HP website.

Print a Test Page:

  • Once the printer is added, try printing a test page to ensure everything is set up correctly.

Troubleshooting Tips:

  • If the printer is not responding, ensure there are no network issues or IP conflicts with another device on your network.
  • Check for any firewalls or security settings on your computer that might be blocking communication with the printer.
  • Restart both your printer and your computer to resolve any temporary connectivity issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
