MY PRINTER WILL NOT PRINT DOCUMENTS VIA MY PC OR ANY OTHER DEVICE. I TRIED TROUBLESHOOTING IT, RESTARTING THE PRINTER AND PC. I ALSO USED THE HP APP TO TROUBLESHOOT AND EVEN AFTER THE DOCUMENTS STILL DO NOT PRINT.

Hi @EVELIN2

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thank you for sharing the details and for already trying multiple steps like restarting the printer, PC, and using the HP App—that’s excellent troubleshooting effort. Let’s go deeper and work through steps that can help restore printing functionality.

1. Check Printer Status

  • On the printer’s control panel, ensure there are no error messages (like paper jams or low ink).
  • Confirm the printer is in Ready state.

2. Verify Connection

  • If using Wi-Fi, make sure the printer and PC are on the same network.
  • For USB, disconnect and reconnect the cable securely.
  • Restart your router if using wireless.

3. Set Printer as Default

  • On your PC, press Windows + IDevicesPrinters & scanners.
  • Select your printer → Click Manage → Set as default.

4. Clear Print Queue

  • Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
  • Scroll to Print Spooler, right-click, and select Restart.
  • This clears stuck jobs and refreshes the print service.

5. Update Printer Firmware

  • Use the HP App or download firmware from HP’s support page: HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

6. Reinstall Printer Driver

  • Remove the printer from Printers & scanners.
  • Download and install the latest driver for your model: HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads
