HP PageWide Pro 452dw Printer

I have several Pagewide Pro printers (452 dw & 477dw) that the EWS password has been lost.  While these printers are out of warranty they are still in excellent condition.  I have searched the forum and have found several posts related to the same issue.  However I do not find any reliable information on resetting the password (aside from some users who discuss powering the unit on and holding down combinations of buttons that they can't remember and getting a reset to work).  Is there a real answer on how to get this reset - or do I have to throw out the printer?

Hello SWH3250,

In this case, if you don't know the password for EWS, the only option is to perform a full reset on your printer. Due to the potential risks of performing such reset, we cannot provide the steps to perform such action. If you want to explore that option, there are other online resources you can check that will describe how to perform a "Full Reset" on your Pagewide 477dw printer.

In addition, you can also take the unit to a repair center so they can perform the full reset for you and check any other faults the printer could have.
