I have an HP DeskJet 3630 and I have looked up ways to get it on the wifi but I do not remember the password. I have been trying to reset the password but all my printer keeps printing is blank sheets. It says that I have color and black ink in there but it isn’t printing anything on the pages.

Hi @Aleisha1,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be happy to help you!
You may try the password as 12345678 and see if that works.
If your HP DeskJet 3630 printer is printing blank sheets and you're trying to connect it to Wi-Fi but don't remember the Wi-Fi password, follow these steps to resolve the issue:
Step 1: Reset the Printer
Perform a factory reset on the printer to clear any existing settings and start fresh.
- Turn on the printer.
- Press and hold the Power button.
- While holding the Power button, press the Cancel button (X) three times and then the Resume button (triangle) three times.
- Release the Power button. The printer should reset and restart.
Step 2: Connect to a New Wi-Fi Network
You'll need to connect the printer to a new Wi-Fi network. If you don't remember the Wi-Fi password, you might need to access your router's settings or reset the router's password.
Option 1: Use the HP Smart App (Preferred Method)
Download and install the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.
- HP Smart App for Windows
- HP Smart App for Mac
- HP Smart App for iOS
- HP Smart App for Android
Open the HP Smart app and create an account or sign in if you already have one.
Add your printer:
- Click on the "+" sign to add a new printer.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to set up the printer on your Wi-Fi network. The app will guide you through the process, including entering your Wi-Fi password.
Option 2: Use Wi-Fi Direct
If you don't remember your Wi-Fi password and can't change it, you can use Wi-Fi Direct to print without connecting to the router.
Turn on Wi-Fi Direct on the printer:
- Press the Wi-Fi Direct button (or hold the Wi-Fi button until the light blinks) to turn on Wi-Fi Direct.
Connect your device to the printer's Wi-Fi Direct network:
- On your computer or mobile device, go to Wi-Fi settings and look for a network name that starts with "DIRECT" followed by your printer model.
- Connect to this network. The default Wi-Fi Direct password is usually "12345678" or can be found on a label on the printer.
Print using Wi-Fi Direct:
- Open the document or photo you want to print.
- Select the print option and choose the printer with "DIRECT" in its name.
Kindly check the remaining steps in the next post.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance

Hi @Aleisha1,
Step 3: Resolve Printing Blank Pages Issue
If your printer continues to print blank pages, follow these steps to troubleshoot:
Check Ink Levels:
- Ensure that both the black and color ink cartridges have sufficient ink.
- Replace any low or empty cartridges.
Clean Printhead:
- Open the HP Smart app or HP Printer Assistant on your computer.
- Navigate to the Printer Maintenance section and select Clean Printhead. Follow the on-screen instructions.
Align Printhead:
- From the same Printer Maintenance section, select Align Printhead and follow the on-screen instructions.
Print a Test Page:
- Print a test page to check if the issue persists. If the test page prints correctly, try printing your document again.
Step 4: Access Router Settings for Wi-Fi Password
If you need to reset or find your Wi-Fi password, access your router settings:
- Open a web browser and enter the IP address of your router (commonly 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1).
- Log in using the router's admin credentials. If you don't know these, check the router's manual or label.
- Navigate to the Wi-Fi settings section to view or change your Wi-Fi password.
By following these steps, you should be able to connect your HP DeskJet 3630 to Wi-Fi and resolve the issue of it printing blank pages.
