The printer has been working fine wireless for years. Then yesterday all of a sudden problems started.
This weird problem just started without any changes in the system. I've seen many references to it, but none of the suggested solutions work.
When I try to print a webpage from within a browser (Firefox, IE11, Tor) I get 2 consecutive errors:
1A. Printing Error: An error occurred during this operation.
1B. Print Preview Error: An error occurred while printing.
If I rightclick/Print on a webpage shortcut I get only 1A.
I checked to see if it happens with other apps/files.
PDF/Sumatra: Print from within app gets 1A; righclick/Print on the file works.
DOC/Word: Works in both cases
TXT/Notepad: Print from within app gets 1A; rightclick/Print works.
PNG/Windows Photo Viewer: works in both cases
When I load the HP Solutions Assistant it reports printer disconnected, but when the print dialog works, the printer prints.
I get logs in the C:\Windows\TEMP folder, one with the error:
20201231103953:00054DF08:0401(0003-0000)(2920)!! MapNetworkDrive(Z, \\192.168.1.69\memory_card) failed with 53, 35, The network path was not found. retry...
Another: 20201231115630:0006C0CD0:0001(0000-0000)(0432){{WNetAddConnection2(Z:, \\192.168.1.69\memory_card)->58}}
20201231115630:0006C1573:0108(0000-0000)(0432)## MapNetworkDrive(Z, \\192.168.1.69\memory_card) failed with 58, The specified server cannot perform the requested operation.
20201231115630:0006C21A8:0400(0000-0000)(0432)!! CSlpServiceModule::SaveParameters ParamKey.m_hKey == NULL
Any help will be appreciated.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Let's try to do a root uninstall and reinstall of the software:
Unplug any USB cable, if any, before doing this.
1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
2.) Select your HP Printer
3.) Select Uninstall
4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose 'Delete' or 'Remove Device'
6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.
7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab
9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10.) Select Ok
11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12.) Close Devices and Printers
13.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo
14.) Type c:/programdata and click Ok. Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.
15.) Restart the computer.
Once done, please download and install the software from here:

Thank you for responding.
Unfortunately, reinstalling the driver is precisely what I tried to avoid by coming here. That I could have done without coming here.
The old driver HP software is awful in that it uninstalls poorly and needs to be manually cleaned and the installation is also a long hassle.
Since NOTHING happened at my end, there is no reason to have to go through such a hassle.
I am looking for expertise that identifies the error log and figures out the cause to repair it.
Regards,
FP
