I know it’s not officially supported, but has anyone printed to a wireless Office Jet 5255 all-in-one from Windows XP? I can see the printer and send something to it but it eventually gets an error after awhile.
My iMac and Windows 10 can see it and print. I’m guessing I need some software for XP but I can’t find it. I did find some drivers I believe are for XP but I don’t see any software to download.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Rick,
Please download and install your printer driver below for Windows XP:
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/printers/OJ5200/basic/OJ5200_Basicx86_44.4.2679.exe
Be aware that the printer is supported on Windows XP 32 bit only, not on a 64-bit OS:
Also make sure your computer is updated with Service Pack 3 which is required for XP:

Thanks, But I still have a problem. I do have SP3 installed. When I click the install link I get the "software is being installed" message, a progress bar shows Installing 1 of 1 HP OfficeJet 5200 series..." then I get "Install Failed".
The "Details" show "Installation Error - a file that is required cannot be installed because the cabinet file (some long name ending in .cab) has an invalid digital signature. This may indicate the cabinet file is corrupt. The digital signature for your software could not be verified. To fix, please connect to the internet (I'm already connected which is how I started the install) or run Windows Update and restart the device install."
Running Windows Update goes into a loop displaying the same internet address so I have to just kill it. Any thoughts? No idea what a cabinet file is. Running the HP trouble shooter program that was installed but so far it hasn't helped.
