Welcome to the HP English Community --

Until something changes, Print Anywhere requires either HP+ or an eligible non-HP+ printer.

NOTE

The following is a "best guess" based on my experience -- it may, or may not, be useful in the context of your printer model.

================================================

Read >>> About HP Smart Advance for HP+ printers

As of this writing:

Which non-HP+ printers are eligible for HP Smart Advance?

The following standard, non-HP+ printers are eligible for HP Smart Advance enrollment:

  • HP DeskJet, DeskJet Ink Advantage 2700 series

  • HP ENVY 6000, ENVY Pro 6400 series

  • HP OfficeJet 8010, 8020, Pro 8020, 8030 series

  • HP OfficeJet 9010, Pro 9010, 9020 series

  • HP LaserJet Pro MFP 4101-4104 series

  • HP LaserJet Tank 1020, 1502-1504, 2502-2506 series

  • HP LaserJet Tank MFP 1005, 1602-1604, 2602-2606 series

  • HP Smart Tank 210, 580, 5100 series

  • HP Smart Tank 670, 720, 750, 790, 6000, 7000, 7300, 7600 series

Next,

Like the old ePrint tech, Print Anywhere requires that the printer be connected to the Internet.

Normally, Print Anywhere might be used when the printer and the device are not on the same network.

Next,

Internet connection is different from the printer's connection to your local Network.

Printer Internet connection requires (and uses) Web Services.

Open Category  Setup & User Guides

Find the user manual for your series model,

Open the document,

Read about Web Services

True - the manual I opened refers to ePrint instead of Print Anywhere - that said, both ePrint and Print Anywhere, although quite different, do use some of the same "under the hood" protocols.

Try to extrapolate what you need for Web Services from the text and illustrations in the manual.
