Hello @nksdnaknkqwd, Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting in the HP Community.

From the screenshot, the HP Smart app displays "Printer Cannot Print" and indicates that a problem has occurred and the printer will be unable to print until the issue is resolved. This message is commonly associated with an HP account, printer enrollment, Web Services, or cloud-service communication issue rather than a hardware failure.

For your HP LaserJet MFP M139dw, please try the following troubleshooting steps:

1. Verify HP Account Sign-In

  • Open HP Smart.
  • Sign out of your HP account.
  • Close HP Smart completely.
  • Reopen HP Smart and sign back in.
  • Check whether the printer status updates.

2. Verify Printer Status in HP Smart

  • Ensure the printer shows Online and Ready.
  • If multiple instances of the printer appear, remove any offline or duplicate entries and keep only the active printer.

3. Check Web Services and Internet Connectivity

  • Access the printer's Embedded Web Server (EWS) by entering the printer's IP address into a web browser.
  • Verify that the printer has a valid network connection.
  • Check whether Web Services or cloud-connected services report any errors.

4. Remove and Re-Add the Printer

  • Remove the printer from HP Smart.
  • Restart the printer and computer/mobile device.
  • Add the printer back through HP Smart and complete the setup process.

5. Print a Configuration Report

Print a Configuration Report directly from the printer and verify:

  • Network status is connected.
  • The printer has a valid IP address.
  • No alert or service errors are listed.

6. Verify Instant Ink / HP+ Status (If Applicable)

If the printer was previously enrolled in HP+ or an Instant Ink service, ensure:

  • The printer is connected to the internet.
  • The HP account used in HP Smart matches the account associated with the printer.
  • There are no account-related notifications in HP Smart.

Please let us know:

  • Whether you can print internal reports directly from the printer.
  • If the printer is enrolled in HP+ or Instant Ink.
  • Whether the message appears in HP Smart only or also on the printer's display.

Have a great day!

I'm an HP Employee.
