Hi @Kimo08,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I can feel your frustration. Everything looks “correct,” the printer shows Ready, your computer is on the same Wi-Fi, and yet nothing prints. It’s like all the pieces are in place, but the puzzle won’t come together. Let’s fix this step by step.

Important Update

HP Smart is no longer supported on Windows. HP has replaced it with the HP App, which offers the same features and improved compatibility.

👉 Download the new HP App here: HP App – For HP Printers, Laptops, and Tech Accessories | HP® Official Site

Step-by-Step Fix

1. Clear Print Queue

  • Press Windows + R, type services.msc.
  • Find Print Spooler, right-click → Restart.
  • Delete stuck jobs from Control Panel → Devices and Printers → Printer Queue.

2. Install HP App

  • Remove HP Smart from your PC.
  • Install the HP App from the link above.
  • Add your printer again.

3. Update Printer Driver

4. Check Firewall/Antivirus

  • AVG can block printer communication.
  • Temporarily disable the AVG firewall and try printing.
  • If it works, add HP App and printer ports to AVG exceptions.

5. Restart Devices

  • Restart your printer, router, and PC to refresh the network handshake.
