so have a hp printer 5252, since last night it has been trying to download a update automatically. But it will not down load and it just keeps going through a cycle of not doing it and then tell me to retry or exit. When I do this it will go back to normal and then a few minutes it will start trying again on its own. Have done everything I can think of on my own and everywhere else I have read. Any suggestions for this?

Thank you for your response and will save it in case I need it again. My printer after many hours fixed itself on its own and has not done this again.  Thank you for your time and response, much appreciated
