Printer Error Message. My Internet Provider installed 2.4g on computer but still not working

We understand that you are you're having trouble with your HP Office Jet Pro 6978 printer. Let's try to troubleshoot the issue together. Here are some steps you can follow:

Check Printer Connection:

  • Ensure your printer is properly connected to your computer or network. Verify that the USB cable or network connection is securely plugged in.

Restart Devices:

  • Restart both your computer and the printer to refresh the connection.

Run Windows Printer Troubleshooter:

  • On your Windows 11 computer, go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners.
  • Select your printer and click on Manage.
  • Click on Run the troubleshooter and follow the on-screen instructions.

Update Printer Drivers:

  • Visit the HP Support website and download the latest drivers for your HP Office Jet Pro 6978. 
  • Install the drivers and restart your computer.

Check Printer Settings:

  • Ensure that your printer is set as the default printer.
  • Check the printer's network settings to confirm it is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network (2.4 GHz).

Firmware Update:

  • Make sure your printer's firmware is up to date. You can find firmware updates on the HP Support website.
