I purchased an original HP black ink cartridge to replace the used black cartridge and now the printer gives me a printer ERROR message however it prints a Printer Information Report without a problem. The printer is less than a year old.

  • The exact printer model you are using.
  • How the error message appears—on the printer display, in the HP App, or on your computer.
  • Whether any other cartridges were replaced recently or only the black cartridge.

This information will help us narrow down the cause and provide steps tailored to your printer.
