Hi- I reset my printer to factory setting, and now I cannot get my computer to recognize it nor find it.  HELP

Good Afternoon,

 

Hope you are well, Please make sure the printer is connected to network , by using ethernet cable or wifi. Once its connected, please get the IP address of the printer, by touching the network icon on the printer touchpanel top icons.

Once you get the IP address, please go to your computer and open a web browser and type in the IP address into the URL bar, then hit enter, that should open a printer web page with status of the printer. 

 

if you dont get access to the printers web page, please make sure printer and computer are connected to the same network name.

 

If you get access to the printer web page, please go to control panel of the windows PC, then look for devices and printers, check for the printer icon, if you see it, right click over it or click on manage to go to the printer properties.

Once you are in the printer properties, please go ahead and click on the Ports tab and then click Add port , select the port type as Standard TCP/IP port, insert the IP address and click next until get the new port created. 

then apply all the changes and try to print a test page.

 

If you go to control panel , devices and printers and there is no icon for the printer, just reinstall the printer by clicking add printer.
