HP LaserJet M110w Printer

After launching HP Smart and adding NPI8DB1E6 (HP LaserJet 110w) and ordering a test print it did not print.  On inspection of the printer settings via the HP Smart it reports NOT INSTALLED?   I am out of ideas.   Seymour

Hi @SyFi ,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm here to help you with the issue you're facing with your HP LaserJet M110w printer installation.

If HP Smart is reporting that the printer is not installed, there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Check Physical Connections:

  • Ensure that your HP LaserJet M110w is properly connected to your computer or network. If it's a wireless connection, make sure the printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer.

Restart the Printer:

  • Turn off your printer, wait for about 10 seconds, and then turn it back on. This simple step can sometimes resolve communication issues.

Restart HP Smart:

  • Close the HP Smart application and restart it. Sometimes, restarting the software can help refresh the connection.

Reinstall the Printer:

  • Remove the printer from HP Smart and add it again. Make sure to follow the on-screen instructions during the setup process.

Update HP Smart and Printer Firmware:

  • Check if there are any updates available for HP Smart and your printer's firmware. Keeping the software up to date can resolve compatibility issues.

Check for Driver Issues:

  • Ensure that the correct printer drivers are installed on your computer. You may need to uninstall the current drivers and reinstall them from the official HP website.

Verify Wi-Fi Connection:

  • If using a wireless connection, make sure that the printer is connected to the Wi-Fi network. Check the Wi-Fi settings on the printer and ensure it has a stable connection.

Firewall/Antivirus Settings:

  • Check your firewall or antivirus settings to ensure they are not blocking the communication between the computer and the printer.

Manual Configuration:

  • If automatic setup fails, you may try manually configuring the printer settings. Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on manual setup.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
