Hello @RFL67, and welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.

I understand how frustrating it can be when your printer suddenly goes offline. Let’s walk through some simple steps to get your HP Envy 6000 back online.

Step 1: Restart Everything

  1. Turn off your printer and unplug it from the power source.
  2. Restart your computer.
  3. Unplug your Wi-Fi router, wait 30 seconds, then plug it back in.
  4. Once your router is fully back online, plug in and turn on your printer.

Step 2: Check Printer Connection

Make sure your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer:

  • Press and hold the Wireless button on the back of the printer for 5 seconds until the blue light starts blinking.
  • On your computer, go to Wi-Fi settings and make sure it’s connected to the same network.
  • Use the HP Smart app/HP app to reconnect your printer:
    • Download HP Smart: HP Smart
    • Open the app and click “+” to add your printer.
    • Follow the on-screen steps to connect it to Wi-Fi.

Step 3: Set Printer as Default

  1. On your computer, go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  2. Right-click your HP Envy 6000 and select “Set as default printer”.
  3. If you see your printer listed more than once, remove duplicates by right-clicking and selecting “Remove device”.

Step 4: Disable “Use Printer Offline”

  1. In Devices and Printers, right-click your printer and choose “See what’s printing”.
  2. Click Printer in the top menu.
  3. Make sure “Use Printer Offline” is unchecked.
