Operating System: Linux

My printer is HP ENVY 5530.  I have had it several years.  My Operating System at the present time is Linux.  Previously it was Windows OS, and according to your records, it was updated last October with Windows 11.  Since then I have been having problems printing and my computer seems to have problems connecting with the printer without going through all sorts of steps to get it to print.  I don't think the printer is worn out and needs replacement, just some type of software so that it recognizes Linus??  As you can see, I'm not very computer literate, but don't want to have to buy a new printer if its not necessary as I have checked and found one that uses HP 61.  I have 6-8 ink cartridges and want to continue to use this particular cartridge.  I need help!!
