My HP 3630 has been working well until last week but has recently failed to recognise my Pc (or vice versa). The wireless blue flashing light on the printer does not show although the information button works. . I have even tried reinstalling the printer but no joy there. Nor has it worked (recently) when connected to the Pc by USB. I'm well up to date with HP Inks but to what purpose if I can't connect? Help would be appreciated.

probably woke up from sleep and got a different IP address from the router.
connecting USB may have disabled Wi-Fi or it may just be stuck in Wi-Fi and have an IP address that is different from what your PC thinks it is.
Watch the reset video. After resetting, you generally have 2 hours to complete the setup. Decide if you want to connect the printer to the router or to print directly to the printer and bypass the router.
Many HP and other OEM printers have problems with the router when the router has two bands and both bands have the same name (SSID). Log into the modem and rename one of the bands. Alternately, contact your ISP and have them rename a band.
Or simply use Wi-Fi direct.

Let me know if you have a flex system (Wi-Fi boosters or repeaters) as the setup is much more complicated for routers.

Thanks for that. It parallelled another bit of advice whereupon I found the hub's codes etc. had been changed. However,
I have managed to get my 3630 working via USB but it still doesn't run via Broadband. The Wireless blue light on the printer does not light up. What do I do now?

According to AI your printer can use both USB and Wi-Fi at the same time. AI can be wrong but I have not experience with the 3630 to say one way or another.
I assume you have only a router and do not have boosters or repeaters.
The printer only runs at 2.4ghz. If using smartphone or laptop to print directly to the printer, I suspect the devices needs to be on the 2.4ghz band and NOT the 5ghz.
To connect the printer to the router you need to have a different SSID for the 2.4 and the 5ghz band. Log into the router and configure one of the bands to have a different name but the same password. Alternately have the ISP technician do it for you. Change the name of the 5ghz to have '5' in it.
Then watch that reset video and the router connect video.
Good luck!

Thanks again for trying to help but, I fear, you're getting a bit too technical for me .I need my hand held using a computer! How do I log into the router, for instance, and do those other things you say? If ignorance were really bliss, I should be very happy, but in these matters, I'm not.

I have an Arris modem, yours may be different. This tutorial is helpful. The username might be admin and the password should be printed somewhere on the modem. If not, then use that tutorial. Use a different name for the 5ghz bands. To keep it simple, use the same password and use only numeric digits such as someone's phone number. When in the router, run the app that finds the channel with the least amount of noise for both bands.
Alternately call your ISP and ask them to change the name of the 5ghz band.
Make sure the printer connects to the name of the 2.4ghz band.
Are there any brick or solid walls between the printer and the modem / router? ideally the printer should be in the same room as the router.
