Hi @Boomer571,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Since your HP printer is printing blank pages but otherwise seems to be functioning normally, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try.
Check Ink or Toner Levels
- If you're using an inkjet printer, make sure your ink cartridges are not empty or clogged.
- If you're using a laser printer, check the toner cartridge for low toner.
Run a Printhead Cleaning
- On your printer’s control panel, go to Settings > Maintenance > Clean Printhead (or a similar option).
- Run the cleaning cycle 2–3 times if needed.
Check for Clogged Nozzles (Inkjet Printers)
- Print a Nozzle Check or Print Quality Report from your printer’s menu.
- If missing lines or faded text appear, clean the printhead using your printer’s built-in cleaning tool.
Reseat or Replace Cartridges
- Remove and reinstall the ink or toner cartridges to ensure proper seating.
- If your ink is refilled, ensure it’s properly recognized by the printer.
Check Paper and Print Settings
- Ensure you’re using the correct paper type (plain, glossy, etc.).
- In Printer Preferences on your computer, verify the correct paper type and print quality are selected.
Try a Hard Reset
- Turn off your printer and unplug it from the power source for 5 minutes.
- Reconnect and try printing again.

Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers
- Download the latest drivers for your printer from the HP Support website.
- Uninstall the printer from your computer and reinstall it using updated drivers.
Test a Different Document or App
- Try printing from another program (Word, Notepad, PDF) to rule out software issues.
- If PDFs print blank but Word documents print fine, update your Adobe Reader.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
