Hi @Suze1955,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP LaserJet MFP M139we printer is connected to the internet but not printing, and there's a yellow light on despite having a new cartridge installed, you can try the following troubleshooting steps:
Check Printer Status:
- Make sure there are no error messages on the printer display.
- Ensure that the paper tray is not empty and that there are no paper jams.
Check Connectivity:
- Confirm that the printer is still connected to the Wi-Fi network. You may need to re-establish the connection.
- Ensure that there are no issues with your Wi-Fi network. If possible, restart your router.
Printer Queue:
- Check the print queue on your computer to make sure there are no pending print jobs. Cancel any stuck print jobs.
Restart the Printer:
- Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for about 30 seconds. Plug it back in and turn it on.
Update Firmware/Driver:
- Ensure that your printer firmware and drivers are up to date. Visit the HP support website to download the latest firmware and drivers for your printer model.
Test Print:
- Try printing a test page from the printer itself. This will help determine if the issue is with the printer or the connection.
Check Cartridge Installation:
- Make sure the new cartridge is properly installed. Open the printer cover, remove the cartridge, and reinstall it securely.
Check for Low Toner/Ink:
- Even if you have a new cartridge, it's worth checking if there's any protective tape or seal that needs to be removed. Also, ensure that the cartridge is not empty.
Check for Paper Size/Type Mismatch:
- Ensure that the paper size and type settings on the printer and the computer match.
Reset Network Settings:
- If the printer has a touchscreen display, navigate to the network settings and reset the network configuration. Then, reconnect to your Wi-Fi network.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.-
