We have an iPad Air and an iPad Mini and today neither will print from our HP Officejet8600 printer. We get a message saying we need to connect to server and to check our internet connection. Our internet connection is okay and then the error message says if required enter a Proxy address. How do you find a web proxy address?

Hi @Nankevin ,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you're experiencing issues with your HP Officejet 8600 printer on iOS devices and are prompted to enter a proxy address, here are some steps you can take:
Check Network Connection:
- Ensure that your iPad Air and iPad Mini are connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your HP Officejet 8600 printer.
- Verify that your internet connection is stable.
Printer Connection:
- Make sure your HP Officejet 8600 printer is turned on and connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your iOS devices.
Reset Network Settings on iOS:
- Sometimes, resetting the network settings on your iOS device can resolve connectivity issues. To do this, go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Please note that this will reset all network-related settings on your device.
Printer Firmware Update:
- Check if there is a firmware update available for your HP Officejet 8600 printer. You can usually find this information on the HP support website.
Proxy Settings:
- If your network requires a proxy address, you can usually find this information from your network administrator or Internet Service Provider (ISP).
- On your iPad, go to Settings > Wi-Fi > select your Wi-Fi network > scroll down and tap "Configure Proxy." Enter the required proxy settings here.
HP Print Service Plugin:
- Ensure that the HP Print Service Plugin is installed and updated on your iOS devices. You can download it from the App Store.
Reinstall Printer on iOS:
- Delete the existing printer from your iOS devices and reinstall it. To do this, go to Settings > Printers & Scanners, select your printer, and tap "Forget This Printer." Then, add it again by tapping the "+" icon.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
