Hi @Fel25,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are trying to resolve your issue connecting the HP DeskJet Plus 4100 Printer to your phone via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, follow these steps:

1. Ensure Printer is Ready for Wireless Setup:

  • Make sure the printer is powered on.
  • Ensure that the printer is in Wi-Fi setup mode. You can usually do this by pressing and holding the Wi-Fi button on the printer until the light begins flashing, indicating that it is ready to connect to a network.

2. Connect the Printer to Wi-Fi:

  • Open the HP Smart app on your phone.
  • Tap "Set up a new printer" or "Add printer" in the app.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.
  • If you are setting it up using Wi-Fi Direct, select the printer’s name in your Wi-Fi settings to establish a direct connection without needing a router.

3. Check the Network:

  • Ensure that your phone and printer are on the same Wi-Fi network.
  • Double-check that the Wi-Fi network is 2.4 GHz, as some printers don't support 5 GHz networks.

4. Bluetooth Setup (if supported):

  • Open the HP Smart app and choose to connect via Bluetooth if it’s an option.
  • Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone, and the printer should be discoverable during the setup process.

5. Troubleshoot Connection Issues:

  • Restart your router, printer, and phone to eliminate any temporary issues.
  • Ensure your printer firmware is up to date, which you can check in the HP Smart app or through the printer’s web interface.
  • If using a Wi-Fi network, ensure your router is not blocking the printer’s connection (check router settings for any restrictions like MAC filtering).

6. Check for Errors:

  • If you continue to experience problems, check the printer’s display panel or HP Smart app for any error messages.
  • Also, confirm that your phone is able to connect to other devices wirelessly, as this will rule out issues with the phone itself

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
