Hi @AnneE2025,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I completely understand how confusing it can be when your HP DeskJet 2855e All-in-One Printer seems to vanish from your Wi-Fi network, especially when you're using iOS and just want to print something quickly.

Let’s gently walk through how to find out what Wi-Fi network your printer is trying to connect to.

How to Check Your Printer’s Wi-Fi Network (HP DeskJet 2855e)

Option 1: Use the HP App (HP App – For HP Printers, Laptops, and Tech Accessories | HP® Official Site)

  1. Open the HP app on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Tap your printer’s name or image.
  3. Go to Printer Settings > Network Information.
  4. You’ll see the Wi-Fi network name (SSID) your printer is currently connected to.

If your printer is not showing up, it may have lost connection. In that case, you’ll need to restore Wi-Fi setup mode (see below).

Option 2: Restore Wi-Fi Setup Mode

If you're unsure what network it's trying to connect to or if it's not connecting at all:

  1. Press and hold the Wireless button and the Cancel button on the printer until the Power button starts blinking.
  2. This resets the printer’s network settings and puts it into Wi-Fi setup mode.
  3. Within 2 minutes, open the HP Smart app and follow the prompts to reconnect the printer to your desired Wi-Fi network.

You’ll know it’s connected when the Wi-Fi light turns solid blue, a comforting little glow that says “I’m back online.”
