@Shorty63049, Welcome to HP Support Community 😀,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
Check the Basics
- Ensure your printer is powered on and ready (the power light should be on).
- Check your Wi-Fi connection on the device you’re trying to print from. Ensure that the network is active, and the device is connected to Wi-Fi.
Restart Devices
- Restart the printer: Turn it off, wait a few seconds, then turn it back on.
- Restart your router: Unplug it for about 10 seconds and then plug it back in.
- Restart your computer or smartphone: This can help reset any temporary network issues.
Use HP Smart App
- If the manual setup doesn’t work, use the HP Smart app on your phone or computer to help with the connection.
- Download and open the app, then follow the prompts to add your printer.
- If you’re using a computer, make sure to install the printer driver from the HP website.
Check for Network Issues
- Ensure the printer is within range of your Wi-Fi router. If it’s too far away, move the printer closer to the router.
- Make sure the printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network (check if it's the 2.4GHz network, as many printers do not support 5GHz).
- Disable MAC address filtering on your router (if enabled), as it can block your printer from connecting.
Check for Firmware Updates
- Sometimes, the printer may need a firmware update. Check for updates through the printer’s control panel or via the HP Smart app.
Reinstall Printer Drivers (if using a computer)
- Uninstall the printer driver from your computer, restart the computer, and then reinstall the driver from the HP website or through the HP Smart app.
