@Hoovervh, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Offline Issue on HP 5200 Series Printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If your HP 5200 Series printer is frequently going offline, you can follow these steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Check Printer Status:

  • Ensure that the printer is powered on and there are no error messages or blinking lights indicating a problem.

Restart Your Printer:

  • Turn off your printer and wait for 10 seconds.
  • Turn the printer back on and see if it resolves the issue.

Check Printer Connection:

  • Wired Connection: Ensure that the Ethernet cable is securely connected between your printer and router.
  • Wireless Connection: Confirm that your printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network and has a stable connection.

Reconfigure Printer Settings:

  • Remove the printer from your computer's devices list and re-add it.
  • Go to your computer’s Control Panel or Printer settings, remove the HP 5200 Series printer, and add it again, ensuring you select the correct connection type (USB, Ethernet, or Wireless).

Update Printer Drivers:

  • Visit HP's official website and download the latest drivers and software for your HP 5200 Series printer.

Check for Network Issues:

  • Ensure that your Wi-Fi network is stable and has a good signal strength.
  • Avoid placing the printer near devices that may interfere with the Wi-Fi signal (such as microwaves and cordless phones).

Set Printer to Online:

  • On your computer, navigate to the 'Devices and Printers' section.
  • Right-click on your HP 5200 Series printer and select 'See what's printing'.
  • In the menu bar, click 'Printer' and ensure 'Use Printer Offline' is unchecked.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
