Microsoft Windows 11

Hello,

I've followed all of the instruction in the KB for “Printer could not connect to Web Services”  and verified from the webservice config summary,

Web Service Status - Enabled

Innternet connection - Connected

Printer connection to HP Connected.

As I'm still  getting the weserver connection failure error trying to use the printer apps,   my question is how do I request HP delete and reset my account in the backend?

As I've run out of troubleshooting options.

Thank You

Hi @Roadrunner99,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

If you have followed the instructions in the knowledge base for resolving the "Printer could not connect to Web Services" error and verified that your printer's web services status is enabled and connected to the internet, yet you are still experiencing issues, here are some additional steps to consider:

Final checks for Web Services one last time

1. Turn Web Services OFF and ON

  • On the printer control panel, go to Setup / Web Services
  • Select Remove Web Services
  • Restart the printer
  • Go back and enable Web Services again

👉 This forces the printer to generate a fresh connection to HP servers

2. Restore Network Defaults

  • On the printer, go to Settings → Network Setup → Restore Network Settings
  • Reconnect the printer to Wi-Fi
  • Re-enable Web Services

3. Update printer firmware

  • From the printer panel: Setup → Printer Maintenance → Update Printer
  • Or via HP Smart

4. Check router/network requirements

Make sure:

  • The printer is on a 2.4 GHz network
  • No VPN or firewall is blocking the connection
  • Ports like 80, 443, 5222 are open

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!

I'm an HP Employee.
