Brand new DeskJet 2700.  Printer will sit idle for days because we don’t print often.   When we do go to print we can’t find the printer. The WiFi button has a blue light next to it. LCD screen is blank. And the printer won’t respond to the power button. After I unplug it and re plug it in it works, but I should have to do this every time.   We have changed nothing with our WiFi since buying this printer 2 weeks ago.  Our old HP had connection issues like this but I thought it was just old.  It was. Now I’m thinking it’s HP printers that are the problem.  We are in the market for a new laptop and might have to check HP off the list.

Hi,

First, please ensure the printer is directly connected to a wall socket and not to any power split, surge protector, etc. which may affect its power stability.

 

Next, let's verify the latest firmware is installed for the printer:

Now check and follow for any difference and see if the problem persists or not.

 

If the problem may persist, print and evaluate a Wireless Network Test page:

What are the report results? may it list any Attention or a Warning on its header?
