Common problems for Connectivity Issues

HP ENVY 6452e All-in-One Printer

How many times do I have to enter this information?  Internet outage.  Computer came back on but printer did not.  I do not know what the lights mean.  They came on but went dark again.

I understand you are facing an issue with your HP ENVY 6452e All-in-One Printer might need to be reconnected to your network following the internet outage. Let's try to get it back online and figure out what the lights mean.
 

Steps to Troubleshoot:

Power Cycle the Printer:

  • Unplug the printer from the power source.
  • Wait for 60 seconds.
  • Plug it back in and turn it on.

Check the Printer Lights:

  • White Light (Steady or Flashing): A solid white light means your printer is connected to the network. Flashing indicates it's trying to connect.
  • Amber or Red Light: This usually indicates an issue like a connection error or problem with the printer's status.

Re-establish Printer Connection:

  • Open the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.
  • Go to the Network Setup section and attempt to reconnect your printer to your WiFi network.
  • If you see the lights go off again, try pressing the Wireless Button or the WiFi icon on the printer to restart the connection process.

Reset the Wireless Connection (If Needed):

  • Hold down the Wireless button (or WiFi icon) and the Cancel button on the printer simultaneously for 5 seconds.
  • This will reset the network settings, and you can reconnect your printer via the HP Smart app.

If the printer’s lights keep going off and it doesn’t stay on, it could also be a hardware issue related to power or connection
