Hi @Ryanmileur,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Restart Printer and Network Devices

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for about one minute.
  • Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
  • Restart your Wi-Fi router and all devices connected to the network (PC, laptop, mobile devices).

Check Printer Status and Settings

  • Ensure the printer is online and not paused or offline.
  • Look for any error messages on the printer control panel.
  • Make sure the HP OfficeJet Pro 8720 is set as the default printer on your devices.

Kindly refer to this link to update your printer firmware.

  • Ensure you have the latest printer driver installed for all devices connecting to the printer.

Clear Print Queue

  • Open the printer queue on your device and cancel all pending print jobs.
  • Windows: Control Panel > Devices and Printers > Select HP OfficeJet Pro 8720 > Open Print Queue > Cancel all jobs.
  • Mac: System Preferences > Printers & Scanners > Select HP OfficeJet Pro 8720 > Open Print Queue > Cancel all jobs.

Verify Network Connection

  • Ensure the printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your devices.
  • Print a network configuration page from the printer control panel.
  • Verify the printer's IP address to ensure there are no conflicts.
  • Use the Embedded Web Server (EWS) by entering the printer’s IP address into a web browser to check settings.

Use HP Print and Scan Doctor

  • Download HP Print and Scan Doctor from the HP Customer Support page.
  • Run the tool to diagnose and fix printer connectivity and printing issues.

Let me know how it goes.
