Hi @Fisheru,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand your HP Smart Tank 7005 printer is in READY status but isn't printing, here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:

Check Printer Connection:

  • Ensure that the printer is properly connected to your computer and the network. Verify the Wi-Fi connection status on the printer's control panel.

Restart Printer:

  • Sometimes, simply restarting the printer can resolve temporary issues. Turn off the printer, wait for about 30 seconds, and then turn it back on.

Check Print Queue:

  • Open the print queue on your Windows 11 computer to see if there are any pending print jobs. Sometimes, jobs can get stuck in the queue and prevent new ones from printing.

Printer Troubleshooter:

  • Use the built-in printer troubleshooter in Windows 11 to diagnose and resolve common printing problems. Here’s how to run it:
    • Press Win + I to open Settings.
    • Go to System > Troubleshoot.
    • Click on Additional troubleshooters.
    • Find and run the Printer troubleshooter.

Check Ink Levels and Paper:

  • Ensure that there is enough paper in the paper tray and that the ink or toner cartridges have sufficient ink or toner.

Update Printer Driver:

  • Outdated or corrupt printer drivers can cause printing issues. Update the printer driver to the latest version:
    • Press Win + X and select Device Manager.
    • Expand the Print queues category, right-click on your printer, and select Update driver.
    • Choose Search automatically for updated driver software and follow the on-screen instructions.

Reinstall Printer:

  • If the issue persists, try removing and reinstalling the printer:
    • Press Win + I to open Settings.
    • Go to Devices > Printers & scanners.
    • Select your printer and click Remove device.
    • Re-add the printer by clicking on Add a printer or scanner and follow the prompts.

Check for Firmware Updates: Update the firmware on an HP printer

  • Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware updates installed. Check the manufacturer's website for instructions on how to update the printer firmware.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
