Hi @Meriyagallanmer,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I am sorry to hear that your printer is not connecting, follow these steps to diagnose and resolve the problem:

Check Basic Connections:

  • Ensure that the printer is powered on and connected to the computer or network using the correct cable (USB, Ethernet) or Wi-Fi settings.
  • For wired connections, verify that both ends of the cable are securely plugged in.

Check Network or Wireless Settings:

  • If you're using a wireless connection, ensure that the printer is connected to the right Wi-Fi network. You may need to reconnect it using the printer's display panel or setup software.

Restart Devices:

  • Power off the printer and computer, then turn them back on. Restarting them can sometimes resolve connectivity issues.

Printer Status:

  • Make sure the printer is not in an error state, has paper loaded correctly, and there's no paper jam or low ink alert.

Check Printer Settings:

  • Go to your computer's printer settings to ensure the printer is set as the default printer.
  • Remove and re-add the printer in your device’s printer settings.

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor:

  • Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool. This utility can automatically detect and resolve many printing and scanning issues.

Update or Reinstall Drivers:

  • Visit the HP Support website to ensure you have the latest drivers for your printer model. You can download and install the updated drivers if needed.

Firewall and Security Software:

  • Make sure your firewall or security software is not blocking the printer connection, especially for network printers.

Take care and have an amazing day!
