I had multiple computers (Windows and iOS) & 2 iPhones on the same network, connected to my HP printer. I had no issues printing from any device while on the same network. I went out of town for 1 week. When I came back, none of the devices could find the printer when I tried to print. The printer is WiFi connected to my router. I ran a Wireless Network Test from the printer and all of the results pass, so the connection is good. All of the devices are connected to the same WiFi network. I've reset the Spectrum router and modem and everything is connected and test good. I've installed HP Smart to add my HP printer, but it always says "can't find a printer." None of the devices can find the printer.

I am able to print if I disconnect a device from the router and wirelessly connect directly to the printer, by changing the network settings on any device, but I shouldn't have to do that.

What could be wrong?

I have a similar situation. I'm all Apple products (iMac, MacBook Pro, iPads, iPhones) and all were finding the printer on the network until a few days ago. No troubleshooting steps have resolved the issue. The printer connects to the network and shows a strong connection. All devices are on the same network. All devices, including the printer, are updated on all software. I'm not aware of any updates that took place just before the issue started. I've tried the trick of removing the power cord from the back of the printer and then the outlet while the printer is on, wait at least 60 seconds and then reconnect. I have the Spectrum wireless router that uses one network name and allows the devices to go between the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz so that all devices remain on the same network and still take advantage of the speed improvement whenever possible. My printer is OfficeJet Pro 8715.

Thanks for the reply. Sounds like we're having the exact same problem. Also in TX here.

Just to confirm, shortly after I commented, I noticed that an HP Smart update appeared for all of my Apple devices. That update seems to have corrected the issue. There were a few bugs to still work out but I think they worked themselves out as all devices powered off and wiped junk from memory.  Hope your issue was resolved, Cd_dfw1020.
