HP ENVY 6455e All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

During a recent storm, I lost my printer connection. When going to the Printers and Devices to ADD, my printer is not listed. Then tried Adding Printer not Listed and nothing happens

Hi @FROGGYK

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thanks for explaining—storms can definitely wreak havoc on wireless setups.

Let’s get your HP ENVY 6455e reconnected in a few easy steps:

1. Reset the Printer’s Network Settings

This puts the printer back into Wi-Fi setup mode.

  • Press and hold the Wireless button on the back of the printer for 5 seconds until the front light starts blinking purple.
  • This resets the network settings and enables setup mode.

2. Restart Everything

  • Turn off your printer, Wi-Fi router, and computer.
  • Wait 30 seconds, then turn them back on—router first, then printer, then computer.

3. Use the HP Smart App to Reconnect

  • Download or open the HP Smart app on your Windows 11 PC.
  • Click the + Add Printer button.
  • The app should detect your printer in setup mode.
  • Follow the on-screen steps to reconnect it to Wi-Fi.

4. If It’s Still Not Found

Try connecting via USB first to help the app detect it:

  • Use a USB Type-B to Type-A cable (square end to printer, flat end to PC).
  • Once connected, open HP Smart again and try adding the printer.
  • After setup, you can remove the cable and use Wi-Fi.

5. Print a Network Test Page

This helps diagnose connection issues.

  • Press and hold the Information button on the printer for 3 seconds.
  • Then press Information + Resume together.
  • A test page will print with network details.

Let me know how far you get with these steps. If it still won’t connect, I can walk you through a deeper reset or check for firmware issues. We’ll get it back online!
