Very frustrated. My printer (HP Envy 6000e) shows the WiFi light is on (connected). But the computer sometimes shows offline. I have gone through the steps of turning the printer off, and unplugging it. I then reboot the router. Then turn everything back on. It works sometimes but I should NOT have to do this everyday that I want to use the printer, The light on the printer show connective all of the time. This is a problem for HP not for me. How can I get the printer to work consistently?

@genec123, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Printer Connectivity Issues!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
It seems like you're experiencing intermittent connectivity issues between your HP Envy 6000e printer and your computer. Here are some steps you can try to address the problem:
Ensure Correct Setup:
- Verify that your printer is selected correctly in your application.
- Check if the printer works correctly when printing from different applications.
Check Network Configuration:
- Confirm that the printer has an IP address and it matches the IP address specified in your computer.
- If there's a mismatch, configure the printer correctly. If issues persist, check your network settings or connect via USB temporarily.
Reconnect USB or Network Cable (If Wired Connection):
- If using a USB or Ethernet cable, disconnect and reconnect the cable or try using different ports on your computer.
Wireless Network Troubleshooting:
- Run the Wireless Network Test via the printer’s front panel. This test can detect problems and suggest solutions.
- Ensure wireless capabilities are enabled on your printer (WiFi light should be on).
- Check that no Ethernet cable is connected, which may disable WiFi.
Firewall and Security Software:
- Check if firewall or security software is blocking connectivity.
- Temporarily disable them to see if communication with the printer improves.
Fixed IP Address:
- Consider setting a fixed IP address for your printer to avoid issues caused by dynamic IP changes.
Driver and Software Issues:
- Make sure you have the latest HP driver and software installed.
- If the software is installed multiple times, ensure you're using the correct version of the printer driver as the default.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
