Hi

I have an HP Envy All-in-One 6032 and after printing one file, it disappears from the HP Smart App. I have to click on the reset button, look for the printer on my phone, connect it to Wi-Fi add it to HP Smart.

Strange thing is, even when I can't see it on any laptop nor phone, if I print the information page, the printer says it's connected and all the information looks correct network-wise: the Wi-Fi network is correct, signal strength is excellent, Wi Fi Direct is enabled. It shows an IP address but I can't access the printer home page when I browse that IP with Chrome.

All my devices are connected to the same 5Ghz Wi-Fi network and I have the HP Smart installed on all of them. I have set up also the printer email and when I send a print job to it I receive back a "ePrint Job Received" confirmation but no printing takes place after that.

Ignore all of this if it is not relevant - provided FYI

I can offer the following...

If you are connecting to a standard wireless connection, you do not want Wi-Fi Direct to be enabled on the printer.

Wi-Fi Direct is ad-hoc Wi-Fi between the printer wireless radio and the computer without the use of a router.

What else?

If the printer is connected to 5GHz and then loses that connection suddenly,

If your router is set to automatically switch between 5GHz and 2.4GHz,

The printer might disconnect from the network and not be able to find its way back.
