Hi @Dreamznpink,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your printer has lost its internet connection and won’t reconnect wirelessly or even print via a wired connection, here’s a comprehensive troubleshooting guide to help you resolve the issue:

**1. Check Printer’s Network Connection

a. Wireless Network Issues

  • Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
  • Access the printer’s control panel and navigate to Setup > Network > Wireless Setup Wizard (or similar). Follow the prompts to reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.
  • Ensure your wireless network is operational and other devices can connect to it.
  • Make sure the printer is within range of the router and there are no significant obstructions or interference.
  • Restart your router to refresh the network connection.

b. Wired Connection Issues

  • Ensure that the USB or Ethernet cable s securely connected to both the printer and the computer.
  • Connect the cable to a different USB or Ethernet port on your computer or router.
  • Use a different cable to rule out the possibility of a faulty cable.

**2. Update or Reinstall Printer Driver

  • Go to the HP Support website and search for your printer model. Download and install the latest drivers and software for your printer.
  • Uninstall the current printer drivers from your computer. Reboot the computer and then reinstall the drivers from the HP website.

**3. Check Printer Settings

  • Check the printer’s control panel for any error messages or alerts.
  • Ensure the printer has a valid IP address if using a wired or wireless connection. You can find this information in the printer’s network settings menu.

Set Printer as Default:

  • On your computer, go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers. Right-click on your printer and select Set as default printer.

**4. Perform Printer Self-Test Run Self-Diagnostic:

  • Access the printer’s control panel to run a self-diagnostic test or print a test page. This can help identify if there are any hardware issues with the printer.

**5. Reset Network Settings

  • If the printer’s network settings seem problematic, perform a factory reset of the network settings. This option is usually found under Setup > Network > Restore Network Settings.
  • After resetting, reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network using the Wireless Setup Wizard.

**6. Check for Firmware Updates

  1. Update Firmware:
    • Ensure the printer’s firmware is up-to-date. Check for updates via the HP Support website or through the HP Smart app if available.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
