Hi @Lisa5RC,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It seems your HP LaserJet Color Printer is having connectivity issues with your Apple devices. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and resolve this problem:

Verify Printer's Connectivity

Check Wi-Fi Connection:

  • Ensure the printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your devices. You can confirm this from the printer's control panel or settings.
  • If the printer is not connected, reconnect it to your Wi-Fi network using the printer's setup instructions.

Restart Devices:

  • Power off your printer, router, and Apple devices (laptops and phones). Wait for a minute and then power them back on.

Update Printer and Device Firmware

Printer Firmware:

  • Visit HP's support website and check for any firmware updates for your printer model. Follow the instructions to install updates.

Apple Device Updates:

  • Make sure all your Apple devices are updated to the latest iOS/macOS version.

Re-add Printer to Apple Devices

On Mac:

  • Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners.
  • Select the printer and click the - (minus) button to remove it.
  • Click the + (plus) button, select your printer from the list, and add it back.

On iPhone/iPad:

  • Open any app that allows printing (e.g., Notes, Safari).
  • Select the print option, and ensure the printer appears. If it doesn’t, search for the printer on the same Wi-Fi network.

Reset Printer's Network Settings

  1. Reset the printer's network settings to default (instructions can vary based on the model; refer to the manual or the control panel options).
  2. Reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.

HP Smart App

  1. Download the HP Smart app on your iPhone/iPad or Mac.
  2. Open the app, log in or create an account, and follow the instructions to add and connect the printer.

Test AirPrint

  1. Ensure the printer supports AirPrint (most HP LaserJet printers do).
  2. Try printing a document from your iPhone/iPad using AirPrint.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
