Hi @SangitaMonga197,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP DeskJet 2710 All-in-One Printer is having trouble connecting to your home Wi-Fi, here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow to resolve the issue.

Restart Devices

  • Printer: Turn off your printer, unplug it for 30 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
  • Router: Restart your Wi-Fi router by unplugging it for 30 seconds, then plug it back in.
  • Computer/Device: Restart the device you're using to connect the printer.

Check Wi-Fi Network Settings

  • Ensure your printer and the device are connected to the same 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. HP DeskJet printers generally do not support 5 GHz networks.
  • Ensure your Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password are correct.

Move the Printer Closer to the Router

  • Ensure the printer is within range of your Wi-Fi router. Interference or distance can cause connection issues.

Use HP Smart App to Set Up Wi-Fi

  • Download the HP Smart app from your device’s app store (if not already installed).
  • Open the HP Smart app, and it should prompt you to set up your printer.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to connect your printer to Wi-Fi. The app will guide you to select the correct network and enter your Wi-Fi password.

Factory Reset the Printer

  • Resetting the printer’s network settings can help resolve connectivity issues.
    1. Turn the printer on.
    2. Press and hold the Wireless button (the icon with the antenna) and the Cancel button together for 5 seconds until the power light blinks.
    3. The wireless settings will reset, and you can attempt the Wi-Fi setup again.

Check for Firmware Updates

  • Make sure your printer's firmware is up to date. You can check for updates using the HP Smart App or by visiting the HP website.

Manual WPS Connection (if supported)

  • If your router supports WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup), you can try this:
    1. Press and hold the Wireless button on your printer for 3 seconds.
    2. On your router, press the WPS button within 2 minutes to establish the connection.

Disable Firewalls/Antivirus (Temporarily)

  • Sometimes firewall or antivirus software can block the connection. Temporarily disable them and attempt to connect the printer to the network again.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
