I have recently had to change to a new router, and I haven't been able to connect my printer to the wifi, despite trying everything I can find on the app and on the HP webpage. Can anybody help?

Thanks for your reply. The new router was a direct replacement of the old one, so no changes there.
I actually managed to sort it out, by deleting the HP app in my phone and installing it on my iPad.

Hi @Peter12171,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
I understand your printer stopped connecting to Wi‑Fi after you changed to a new router. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.
Confirm Wi‑Fi Band
Many HP printers only support 2.4GHz Wi‑Fi.
If your new router is set to 5GHz only, enable or create a 2.4GHz network and connect the printer there.
Reset Printer’s Network Settings
On the printer, press and hold the Wireless button until the light blinks.
This puts the printer back into setup mode and clears old network details.
Use HP Smart App for Setup
Open the HP Smart app on your phone or computer.
Select Set Up a New Printer and follow the prompts to connect it to the new Wi‑Fi.
Check Router Security Settings
Make sure the router is using WPA2 security (not WPA3 only).
Some printers cannot connect if WPA3 is enforced.
Assign a Static IP (Optional)
Once connected, open the printer’s Embedded Web Server by typing its IP address in a browser.
Assign a static IP so the printer doesn’t drop off when the router reassigns addresses.
Update Printer Firmware
In HP Smart, go to Printer Settings > Advanced > Update Printer Firmware.
Firmware updates often fix Wi‑Fi compatibility issues with newer routers.
Restart Devices
Restart the router, printer, and computer after setup.
This ensures all devices refresh their network connections.
I hope this helps.
