Hi @Zara26,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP ENVY 4527 All-in-One printer is not connecting to the HP Smart app despite being on the same Wi-Fi network, here are a few troubleshooting steps to try.

Check Wi-Fi Connection:

  • Ensure that both the printer and the device running the HP Smart app are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Sometimes, even though both devices appear to be on the same network, they could be connected to different frequency bands (2.4 GHz vs 5 GHz). The printer typically works best on 2.4 GHz.

Restart Devices:

  • Restart your printer, router, and the device you are using the app on. This can help reset network connections and resolve temporary issues.

Use the HP Printer Setup Utility:

  • Download the HP Print and Scan Doctor (Windows) or HP Smart app (iOS/Android) from the official HP website or app store, if not already installed.
  • Run the HP Print and Scan Doctor to troubleshoot any connectivity issues between your printer and your device.

Check Printer’s Wireless Setup:

  • On the printer, press the Wireless button or open the Settings menu, then select Wireless Setup Wizard to reconnect it to the Wi-Fi network.
  • If this doesn't work, consider performing a Network Reset on the printer. You can do this through the printer’s settings menu (usually under Network or Wireless Settings).

Manually Add the Printer:

  • Open the HP Smart app and select Add Printer. If your printer isn’t automatically detected, you can manually enter the printer's IP address. To find this, print a network configuration page from the printer’s menu.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • If possible, check for any firmware updates for your printer using the HP Smart app or the printer’s control panel.

Check for App Issues:

  • If the HP Smart app isn’t working properly, try uninstalling and reinstalling the app on your phone or computer.

Reconfigure Ink Delivery Service:

  • If you are specifically trying to set up ink delivery, ensure that the printer is registered in the HP Instant Ink program (if applicable). You may need to re-register the printer for this service.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
