Hi @Boothbabe9,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand your HP OfficeJet 8015e All-In-One Printer is having trouble reconnecting to your network or completing its setup after being unplugged. The error code # OXB874648E suggests there might be an issue with the printer's network connection or setup process.
Here are some steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
Restart Everything:
- Turn off the printer, unplug it, and wait for about 60 seconds.
- Restart your router by unplugging it, waiting 30 seconds, and then plugging it back in.
- Turn the printer back on and wait for it to initialize.
Reconnect to WiFi:
- Go to the printer’s control panel, navigate to the WiFi settings, and try reconnecting to your network.
- Ensure you select the correct WiFi network and enter the correct password.
Check HP Smart:
- Open the HP Smart app on your computer.
- Try to add the printer again by selecting "Add Printer" and following the on-screen instructions.
- If the app doesn’t recognize the printer, ensure your computer is connected to the same network as the printer.
Update Printer Firmware: Update the firmware on an HP printer
- Make sure the printer's firmware is up-to-date. You can check this via the printer’s control panel or through the HP Smart app.
Check for Network Issues:
- Ensure that there are no network issues or restrictions that could be preventing the printer from connecting.
- If you’re using a VPN, try disabling it temporarily to see if it resolves the issue.
Reset Printer:
- If the issue persists, you might want to perform a factory reset on the printer. This will erase any saved settings and require you to set up the printer again.
- To reset, navigate to the printer’s settings menu and look for the option to restore factory settings.
Reinstall HP Smart:
- Uninstall and reinstall the HP Smart app on your computer to rule out any issues with the application itself.
