HP Envy 6120e All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

My laptop does not communicate with the printer. The app will allow me to scan, and my other laptop does print.

I have tried rebooting the laptop and the printer, disconnecting and reconnecting the wifi, rebooting the router, and uninstalling and re installing the HP Smart software. Obviously the printer is communicating with both my laptops on the wifi network. When I try to print I get a message saying the printer is ready but no print. Nothing shows in the print queue.

Hi @hateful,

I understand your HP Envy 6120e is connected to Wi-Fi and can scan, but your Windows 11 laptop is not sending print jobs (they don’t even show in the print queue). Let’s try these steps to get printing working again:

Run Windows Printer Troubleshooter

Go to Settings → System → Troubleshoot → Other troubleshooters → Run Printer.

Set Printer as Default

Open Control Panel → Devices and Printers.

Right-click your HP Envy 6120e → Select Set as default printer.

Clear the Print Spooler

Press Windows + R, type services.msc → Enter.

Right-click Print Spooler → Stop.

Go to C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS and delete any files inside.

Restart the Print Spooler service.

Remove and Re-add the Printer

Open Settings → Bluetooth & devices → Printers & scanners.

Remove the HP Envy, then click Add device to reconnect.

Reinstall Drivers (if needed)

If still not working, uninstall the printer software.

Restart your laptop and install the Full Feature Software and Drivers for HP Envy 6120e from HP Support.

I hope this helps.
