Common problems for Connectivity Issues
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.
HP Recommended

I never had any issues with my 9010 printer and one day suddenly the printer was disconnected from the wireless network. When I first set it up all setup was easy and wizard was available in startup and menu.

While I was trying to reestablish a wireless connection I noticed that all wireless functionality was missing from the settings (i.e. setup wizard or anything related to wireless). The blue wireless light is also turned off.

Thanks in advance

Hi @Bowenarrow,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand the wireless setup wizard and related settings disappear from your HP OfficeJet Pro 9010 series printer, it often indicates an issue with the printer's wireless module.

Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the problem:

1. Restart the Printer

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds.
  • Plug the printer back in and turn it on.

2. Reset Network Settings

  • Restore the printer's network settings to default.
  • Go to the printer's control panel and navigate to Settings > Network Setup or Wireless Settings.
  • Select Restore Network Settings.

3. Check the Wireless Button and LED

  • Make sure the wireless button on the printer is not turned off.
  • Press the wireless button to turn it on if it's off.
  • If the blue wireless light does not turn on, there might be a hardware issue.

4. Update Printer Firmware Update the firmware on an HP printer

  • Ensure your printer's firmware is up to date.
  • Go to the HP support website and download the latest firmware for your printer model.
  • Follow the instructions to update the firmware.

5. Reinstall Printer Drivers

  • Sometimes, reinstalling the printer drivers can help.
  • Remove the printer from your computer's device list.
  • Go to the HP support website and download the latest drivers for your printer.
  • Install the drivers and try setting up the wireless connection again.

6. Use HP Print and Scan Doctor HP Print and Scan Doctor

  • Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor.
  • Follow the prompts to diagnose and fix any issues.

7. Factory Reset the Printer

  • As a last resort, you can perform a factory reset on the printer.
  • This will reset all settings, so you will need to set up the printer again from scratch.
  • Go to the printer's control panel and navigate to Settings > Restore Factory Defaults.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
