Common problems for Connectivity Issues
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.

macOS 26.0 Tahoe

I ran a diagnostic on my HP Color Laser Jet MFP M283cdw printer and HP said its fine and working. I printed a PDF, no problem. The issue is printing from Adobe Acrobat. The printer sounds like it wants to print and then cuts out within a second or two.

Hi Patay427

Since the printer hardware and HP drivers function properly when printing from other apps, the issue is isolated to Adobe Acrobat's print engine communicating with macOS.

Try these fixes in order, starting with the least invasive solution:

1.Print PDF as an Image:Quickest Workaround.

Open your document in Adobe Acrobat and select File > Print. Click the Advanced button at the top of the print dialog, check the box for Print As Image, click OK, and attempt to print. This bypasses corrupt PostScript interpretation.

2.Toggle Acrobat Security Settings:Common PDF Conflict.

In Adobe Acrobat, open Preferences (Command + comma), select Security (Enhanced) from the left menu, uncheck Enable Enhanced Security, and restart Acrobat.

3.Reset Adobe Acrobat Preferences:Clear Corrupted Settings.

Quit Acrobat. Open Finder, press Command + Shift + G, paste ~/Library/Preferences/, and delete the file com.adobe.Acrobat.pro.plist (or com.adobe.Reader.plist). Reopen Acrobat and attempt to print.

I hope the above is helpful

If this helped you solve your problem, please mark my answer as the solution. Thank you.
