My printer was working, next job, Offline. I have tried everything I know and even the HP Virtual Assistant ran out of ideas. Uninstalled it, trying to reinstall it HP Smart can't even find it. I know the printer is on my WiFi.

Hi @Stuckinlimbo

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thank you for sharing the situation—and I’m really sorry your HP Envy 6152e printer suddenly went offline after working smoothly. I appreciate the steps you’ve already taken, including uninstalling and trying to reinstall through the HP App.

Let’s walk through a focused recovery path to bring your printer back online.

Step-by-step recovery for offline status and reconnecting via HP App

1. Reset the printer’s network connection

  • On the printer control panel, press the Wireless button and Cancel button together for 3 seconds
  • This restores network defaults and disconnects from Wi-Fi
  • Wait for the wireless light to blink, indicating it's ready to reconnect

2. Reconnect the printer to Wi-Fi

  • On the printer, press the Wireless button
  • Open the HP App on your Windows device
  • Select Add Printer > Choose Set up a new printer
  • Follow the on-screen steps to connect to your Wi-Fi network
  • Make sure your PC is on the same Wi-Fi network

3. Restart the Print Spooler service

  • Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter
  • Scroll to Print Spooler, right-click, and select Restart
  • This refreshes the print queue and clears any stuck jobs

4. Remove and re-add the printer manually

  • Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners
  • Remove the HP Envy 6152e if listed
  • Click Add device and wait for Windows to detect it
  • If not found, click Add manually and choose Add a printer using TCP/IP address
  • Enter your printer’s IP address (you can find this by printing a Network Configuration Page from the printer)

5. Run Diagnose & Fix tool

Let me know how the printer responds after these steps. If it still doesn’t appear in the HP App or Windows settings, we can explore alternate connection methods or deeper network resets.

You’ve done everything right by staying persistent—I’ll be here to guide you further.
