Hi @KarenLong,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding printer's connectivity!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
No worries at all! Technology can be tricky sometimes, but I’m here to make this as simple as possible for you. Let’s get your printer back online with just a few easy steps:
Check the Basics
✔ Make sure the printer is ON and has paper & ink.
✔ Restart the printer – turn it off, wait 30 seconds, and turn it back on.
✔ Restart your computer – sometimes, this fixes the issue.
Check the Connection
If using USB:
- Unplug the USB cable and plug it back in.
- Try a different USB port.
If using Wi-Fi:
- Make sure the printer and computer are on the same Wi-Fi network.
- Restart your Wi-Fi router (turn it off for 30 seconds and back on).
- On the printer, press the Wi-Fi button (or go to Settings > Network to reconnect).
Set Printer Online (Windows)
- Press Windows + R, type control panel, and hit Enter.
- Click Devices and Printers.
- Find your printer, right-click it, and select See what’s printing.
- In the new window, click Printer (top left) and uncheck “Use Printer Offline”.
Run HP Print & Scan Doctor
Download and run HP Print and Scan Doctor – it automatically fixes most issues.
Reinstall Printer Drivers
- Go to HP’s website (support.hp.com) and download the latest drivers for your printer.
- Install them and restart your computer.
If it still doesn’t work, let me know what you’ve tried, and I’ll guide you further! 😊
I'm glad I could help! 😊 If this resolved your issue, please mark it as "Accepted Solution" and click "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?"—your feedback not only keeps us going but also helps others find the solution faster! 👍✨
Take care and have an amazing day ahead! 🚀
