Hi @taruntry,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I know how frustrating it is to see a “printer offline” message, especially when both your Windows 11 laptop and HP printer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. You're doing everything right by checking the basics, and I’m here to guide you through the steps.

1. Restart Devices

  • Turn off your printer and unplug it for 30 seconds
  • Restart your laptop
  • Turn the printer back on and wait for it to fully initialize

2. Set Printer to Online Manually

  1. Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers
  2. Right-click your printer → Select “See what’s printing”
  3. In the new window, click Printer > Use Printer Online

3. Reinstall the Printer

Sometimes reinstalling clears the offline status.

  1. Go to Settings > Bluetooth & Devices > Printers & Scanners
  2. Select your printer → Click Remove
  3. Click Add device to reinstall it

4. Use HP App

This tool automatically detects and fixes offline issues.

  • Run the tool and follow the on-screen instructions

5. Check IP Address and Network Connection

  • On the printer, print a Network Configuration Page from the settings menu
  • Confirm the printer has a valid IP address
  • On your laptop, open a browser and enter the printer’s IP. If the printer’s web page loads, it’s online

6. Disable SNMP (Advanced Fix)

Sometimes, SNMP causes a false offline status.

  1. Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers
  2. Right-click your printer → Printer Properties
  3. Go to Ports > Configure Port
  4. Uncheck SNMP Status Enabled → Click OK

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
